After a challenging three weeks, the collaboration saw the flawless export of 40 units of 40ft Flat Rack containers from Port Klang to Australia, setting a new standard for seamless logistics operations.
The ambitious venture demanded meticulous planning and coordination, which both companies executed flawlessly. Their ability to leverage the strengths of each team member and work in harmony with partners throughout the supply chain ensured that every aspect of the project proceeded without a hitch.
The intricate process involved extensive documentation, efficient cargo handling, and close attention to regulatory requirements. POD: Fremantle
Commodity: Modulars Size: 40 x 40FR containers
Challenges: 1. Port Terminals' strict regulations of accepting only direct loading, which this volume of containers, low loader trucks are very insufficient, managed to get a few low loader trucks to support.
2. Lately there are cases between Malaysia & Australia for smuggling heroin & cigarettes into Australia, and with very strict rules implemented by the customs department, all cargo/shipments going to Australia will have to go through inspections in Malaysia. Basically, all 40 x 40FR containers require to go through strict scanning before they can be exported out. This consumes a lot of time in the process as well.
3. Booking of spaces & equipment is very limited by carriers, our partner in Australia had to book through 3-4 different carriers just to accommodate these 40 containers.
4. Short notices of getting customs brokerage approval in Port Klang, we did it in special condition to get it approve so there will not be any delays on the shipments.
